Job summary

Integrated Power Services in the United States is seeking a skilled Electric Motor Mechanic to join our team. You will repair industrial AC/DC motors, generators, gear boxes, and related equipment, applying analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on quality and safety.

This role requires deep experience in motor repair, attention to detail, and the ability to work with customers and teammates in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in an electric motor repair shop for large AC/DC motors.
• Able to perform basic math and read technical data sheets.
• Diagnose and repair rotating equipment like motors, fans, pumps.
• Follow safety procedures and training requirements.
• Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose incoming units, disassemble, repair, assemble, prepare items for shipment.
• Perform mechanical rebuilds on motors, gears, pumps, and fans.
• Measure and record data with tables, dial indicators, micrometers, vib meters.
• Use multimeters, meggers, Baker instruments; measure winding resistance, RTD, heater resistances.
• Participate in daily operation discussions on customer products.

As a mechanic for IPS, you will apply innovative, analytical, and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail and customer focus to repair industrial AC/DC electric motors, generators, gear boxes and related equipment while supporting our continuous improvement process culture.

Qualifications And Competencies

• 10+ years of experience in an electric motor repair shop servicing large AC, DC, and synchronous motors
• Able to perform basic math functions
• Strong capability to diagnose and repair industrial electric motors, fans, pumps, gearboxes, and other rotating equipment
• Able to understand, perform and retain various job-related training, operational and safety procedures
• Excellent technical and mechanical skills
• Self-starter and highly motivated person
• Work overtime and weekends as required
• Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, and bend for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to lift, push, pull, carry items up to 50 lbs.
