Job Opportunities

The CITY OF FREDERICKSBURG is accepting applications for an Electric Department Lineman Helper. This is an entry-level job, and job duties include learning and performing basic aspects of the trade, learning how to work with energized high voltage distribution line voltages while assisting with the construction, maintenance, and repairs on the electrical overhead and underground distribution system.

Requirements:

  1. High School diploma or equivalent.
  2. Ability to advance from Lineman Helper to Lineman within 5 years.
