Qualifications

• JD required.
• Undergraduate or graduate degree in political science, history, public administration, mathematics, statistics, or economics preferred but not required.
• Strong research and writing skills and ability to synthesize large amounts of information.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the Election Law Center's legal and other research projects.
• Conduct legal research and draft amicus briefs.
• Code cases for databases and organize primary sources for online dissemination.
• Prepare reports, presentations, training materials, and articles for academic, governmental, and public audiences.
• Support fifty-state surveys and caselaw databases on election-related topics.
• Assist with the Center’s work on federal and state election contests by locating and summarizing primary sources for public access.
• Help the Executive Director cultivate external and internal partnerships.
