Job summary

ABB in Mebane, NC is seeking a Master Schedule Planner to create and maintain detailed production schedules, release work orders, and run daily MRP to align with the master plan.

You will monitor schedule adherence, identify root causes for deviations, and coordinate with Production Planners to resolve capacity and material issues, ensuring on-time delivery and optimization of resources.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing and coordinating multiple production schedules for MV, LV, and LIS Switchgear (SWGR) a plus.
  • Strong data analysis and reporting skills to monitor performance metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Creates and maintains a detailed production schedule from the production plan.
  • Releases manufacturing work orders.
  • Executes daily, plant-level Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) to create and manage production requirements to meet the production delivery schedules.
  • Establishes sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipment dates per the master schedule/plan obtained from the Production Planners.
  • Monitors schedule adherence, identifies key root causes for deviation, and takes follow-up improvement action.
  • Feeds information on production capacity issues and material availability to Production Planners.
