Job summary

Sittercity Incorporated is seeking a compassionate caregiver to support a mom in Auburn, WA, 3–5 days a week for 3–4 hours daily. The caregiver will assist with mobility during MS episodes, help with light housekeeping, and run errands.

They should be comfortable helping with 20 minutes of daily physical therapy and with basic personal care as needed. The role also involves caring for a pet-friendly home on the same floor as family, with a dog and cat present but out of the way during visits.

Qualifications

• Needs patient, compassionate caregiver experience.
• Experience assisting someone with MS preferred.
• Reliable and able to follow a daily routine.

Responsibilities

• Assist mom with daily activities and mobility as needed.
• Guide and support daily physical therapy exercises (about 20 minutes daily).
• Run errands and help with light cleaning of bedroom and laundry as needed.
• Provide companionship and assist with personal care like nails/hair when possible.

Job description

I am looking for someone to help my mom during the work week 3-5 days a week for 3-4 hours a day. She has MS and on good days she doesn't need a cane at all and on bad days she needs a walker and assistance getting up.

She needs help with doing her physical therapy, errands and possibly light cleaning of her bedroom and/or laundry.

She currently is on the meal plan thistle and is able to cook most those things and enjoys cooking when she can. What I really am hoping for is that someone can continue to help her do 20 minutes of physical therapy a day.

She also enjoys getting her nails and hair done when she is feeling up to it.

We are in the process of building her an ADU so she is currently on the same floor as us and there is a dog that is there during the day as well as a cat. I work from home 2 days a week. Both animals will stay out of your way. There is an additional dog that goes to work with my husband and will not be there when you are.
