Job summary

Orionplacement is seeking an attorney licensed in Maryland to lead estate planning and elder law matters in a collaborative, growth‑driven practice in Maryland. You will counsel clients, draft complex documents, and guide families through Medicaid and special needs planning while building lasting client relationships.

The role combines in‑office collaboration with flexible scheduling as you establish your practice within the firm, and offers meaningful opportunities for professional development

Qualifications

• Active Maryland Bar license required.
• 2+ years of elder law or estate planning experience required.
• Strong estate planning drafting, counseling, and client relationship skills.
• Ability to independently manage matters while collaborating effectively with a team.
• Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Genuine interest in growing professionally and helping build the practice.
• Experience with special needs planning, Medicaid planning, estate administration, trusts, or related areas is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Counsel individuals and families on estate planning, elder law, asset protection, and related planning needs.
• Draft and review wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advance directives, and other sophisticated planning documents.
• Advise clients on Medicaid planning, special needs planning, estate and trust administration, guardianship, and fiduciary issues.
• Lead client meetings and translate complex legal concepts into practical, understandable guidance.
• Manage matters from initial consultation through planning, documentation, and implementation.
• Collaborate with attorneys, staff, financial professionals, and other advisors to deliver comprehensive solutions.
• Develop strong client and professional relationships that support the continued growth of the practice.
• Contribute to business development efforts and take an active role in building your own practice within the firm.
