Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Elder Law Attorney in Virginia Beach to provide expert counsel on estate planning, guardianship, and Medicaid planning. The attorney will draft trusts and wills, advise on retirement asset strategies, and navigate Medicaid regulations for long-term care.

A Virginia license and substantial elder law experience are required. The role offers on-site work in Virginia Beach with competitive compensation and the potential for bonuses and a path to partnership.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
Current license to practice law in Virginia and admitted to the Virginia Bar.
Minimum 5 years of elder law experience, estate planning, and related areas.
Proven experience in retirement asset planning, estate and gift tax planning, and drafting revocable and irrevocable trusts.
In-depth knowledge of wills, trusts, property law, and Medicaid regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide legal counsel to elderly clients on elder law issues including estate planning, wills, trusts, retirement asset planning, and Medicaid.
Draft and review wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and health care directives.
Develop and implement estate and gift tax strategies.
Navigate Medicaid regulations and assist long-term care planning.
Draft revocable and irrevocable trusts meeting clients' needs.
Advocate for elderly rights in courtrooms, nursing homes, and hearings.
Stay updated with changes in elder law to provide current counsel.
