Job summary

MultiCare Health System in Yakima, WA is seeking a part-time assistant to support the lead teacher in early childhood education settings. The role involves implementing activities that nurture physical, emotional, intellectual and social development and performing cleaning and sanitizing duties.

You will need a High School diploma or GED, an ECE Initial Certificate within 5 years, CPR/First Aid, and a valid Washington State Food Handler's card.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • State Early Childhood Education Initial Certificate required within 5 years of hire.
  • Previous experience working with children required.
  • Valid photo identification card required.
  • CPR/First Aid certification required.
  • Washington State (DOH) Food Handler's card required.
  • Completion of 30-Hour STARS Basic courses within 6 months of hire, or educational exemption, required.
  • Negative TB Test within 12 months at time of hire required.
  • Annual BBP/HIV training required.
  • DCYF Childcare Licensing background check required within 14 days of hire.

FTE: 0.5, Shift: Day, Schedule: Monday - Friday, Schedule will vary based on ELC need, Shifts will be between 6:15am - 6:00pm, Must have flexible schedule and open availability.

Requirements

  • State Early Childhood Education (ECE) Initial Certificate required within 5 years of hire.

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $19.51 - $28.08 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
