Job summary

Ingevity invites applicants for a lab-based Elastomers Application Development role at our Warrington site. You will contribute to the development and testing of polyurethane elastomer products, aligning with the Capa brand and related projects.

The role emphasizes hands-on laboratory work, safety, data reporting and collaboration with our development team to deliver practical polymer solutions for diverse applications.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Chemistry, Polymer Science or related discipline.
• Experience with polyurethane chemistry preferred.
• Industrial polymer lab experience or chemical lab experience.

Responsibilities

• Observe safety and environmental requirements at Warrington site.
• Prepare and characterize polyurethane elastomer products in lab.
• Carry out application testing of elastomers and intermediates.
• Support Development Chemist in day-to-day lab operations.
• Participate in Capa Innovation Lab projects and new product design.
• Follow IT and confidentiality policies.
