Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking an Elastic Engineer to design and operate a consolidated data analytics platform. You will aggregate logs with Elastic, create ECS-formatted data, build dashboards and alerts for threat hunting, and maintain the system within required security guidelines.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years with Elastic Stack, strong Kibana dashboard skills, and familiarity with DoD/Federal compliance. A secret clearance is required and hybrid/remote work options exist.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Elastic Stack experience including Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kibana.
• 2+ years building high-quality Kibana visualizations and dashboards.
• Experience with log pipelines and ECS-formatted documents.
• Experience with Logstash plugins, filters, regex and grok patterns.
• Knowledge of TLS, mTLS, hashing, PKI and security protocols.
• Familiar with NIST 800-53, FIPS, STIG, FedRAMP standards.
• Secret clearance and HS diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Build a high performing system using Elastic to aggregate logs from many systems.
• Create ECS-formatted fields, quality visualizations and alerts for threat hunting.
• Maintain infrastructure and identify problems before they escalate.
• Collaborate with vendor on deployment best practices and secure architecture.
