Job summary

JCS Solutions seeks an Elastic Data Engineer to design, maintain, and optimize data-ingestion and analytics in a DoD cybersecurity environment. Hybrid role requiring some on-site days monthly to support collaboration and business needs.

You will manage Elastic Stack pipelines, enforce data quality, and support dashboards, alerts, and threat detection with a focus on compliance reporting. Strong experience with Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, and data processing tools is required.

Qualifications

• BS with 4–8 years of relevant experience or Master’s with 2–6 years.
• Active or obtainable DoD TS/SCI clearance.
• Experience with Elastic Stack and cyber telemetry.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop data pipelines for cybersecurity and telemetry.
• Ingest, transform, route, and normalize data from multiple sources.
• Create standardized schemas, mappings, and data models.
• Parse JSON, XML, CSV, syslog, and Windows event data.
• Implement data-quality controls and data cleansing.
• Support threat detection, incident response, and reporting.
