The Goddard School of Danbury, CT is seeking a passionate Lead Two's Teacher to join our team. You will lead daily activities and implement the Wonder of Learning curriculum to support every child's growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; CDA preferred
• 1-2 years of experience in licensed childcare or preschool setting preferred
• Has completed state-required pre-service training
• Develops relationships and communicates effectively with children, families and faculty members
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs in connection with handling children

Responsibilities

• Implement age-appropriate lesson plans using our Wonder of Learning curriculum to engage and support each child's growth
• Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
• Maintain open, effective and positive communication with families and guardians about their child's progress and daily activities
• Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities to uphold health and safety standards
• Participate actively in ongoing professional development and training opportunities
• Observe, assess and document children's learning and development to inform activities and share insights with families
• Support Assistant Teachers and Resource Teachers, fostering a collaborative and positive team environment
• Model and implement positive guidance strategies to support social-emotional growth and conflict resolution

Lead Teacher Key Responsibilities:

• Team Collaboration: Support Assistant Teachers and Resource Teachers, fostering a collaborative and positive team environment.
