Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; completion of EKG/Telemetry training is preferred.
• BLS certification required on hire.
• Experience with EHR systems (EPIC or Cerner) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor patients' heart rhythms and oxygen saturation remotely using telemetry.
• Identify and document arrhythmias and notify the care team promptly.
• Assist with 5-lead EKG placements and document telemetry strips.
• Relay urgent findings to nurses and physicians while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Troubleshoot telemetry unit issues and maintain equipment functionality.
• Provide orientation to new staff and perform other duties as assigned.
