Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health Inc. is seeking an EKG Technician to perform electrocardiogram testing across hospital departments, following physician orders and responding promptly to STAT and CODE calls.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of specialized EEG training or equivalent, and six months EEG/EKG experience, plus strong written and verbal communication and solid computer skills with Microsoft Office or Google Suite.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, and/or GED equivalent programs.
• Minimum of one year of specialized training in EEG or equivalent experience.
• Minimum six months experience in EEG/EKG.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

Responsibilities

• The EKG Technician performs EKG testing in all areas of the hospital as ordered by the physician.
• Respond to all STAT and CODE calls.
• Be alert to irregularities in tracings that requires immediate medical attention.
