Job summary

AKS Engineering & Forestry in Tualatin, OR is seeking a Civil Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) to design and support high‑tech manufacturing campuses and data centers. You'll work on site development, grading, and utility layouts with multidisciplinary teams to deliver constructible solutions.

The role offers exposure to complex infrastructure challenges, opportunities for licensure progression, and collaboration with experienced engineers and project managers in a growth‑minded firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or equivalent with EIT certification and actively working toward PE licensure.
• 1 to 5 years of civil design experience, ideally with growing project management responsibilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication with ability to coordinate across teams, clients, and agencies.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design and development of data centers, semiconductors, and high‑tech manufacturing campuses.
• Prepare and support site development plans, grading and earthwork designs, drainage systems, and utility layouts.
• Support utility coordination involving water, sanitary sewer, stormwater, power, and telecom infrastructure.
• Collaborate with in‑house team and external subconsultants to keep projects on track.
• Generate and compile submittal packages for land use applications and construction plans.
• Engage with clients and agencies across jurisdictions to develop consulting presence and client management skills.
