Saronic Technologies in Franklin, LA is seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Trainer to develop, implement, and evaluate training programs ensuring OSHA and USCG compliance across shipbuilding and waterfront operations.

We are seeking an ambitious and collaborative Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Trainer to support our fast-growing operations within Saronic. The EHS Trainer will be responsible for the development, implementation, delivery, management, and evaluation of Environmental, Health, and Safety training programs to ensure compliance with OSHA 29 CFR Part 1910 (General Industry), OSHA 29 CFR Part 1915 (Shipyard Employment), applicable U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) regulations, and other federal, state, and local requirements while promoting a culture of learning, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence at the Saronic Shipyard in Franklin, LA.
The successful candidate will possess experience in industrial or maritime environments and demonstrate the ability to develop and deliver regulatory and competency-based training programs that support safe shipbuilding, ship repair, and waterfront operations.
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, Public Health, Maritime Safety, or a related field.
Professional certification such as ASP, CSP, CIT, CIH, CHMM, or equivalent preferred.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in EHS, technical training, or safety program administration in shipbuilding, ship repair, marine manufacturing, heavy manufacturing, aerospace, or comparable industrial environments.
Working knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR Part 1910 (General Industry) and OSHA 29 CFR Part 1915 (Shipyard Employment).
Familiarity with applicable U.S. Coast Guard regulations related to vessel construction, shipyard operations, waterfront safety, and emergency preparedness.
Experience maintaining regulatory training records and employee qualification documentation.
