Job summary

CentroMotion is seeking an EHS Technician to champion and support Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs at our Medina, OH plant. You will ensure regulatory compliance and promote a safety-first culture, while providing feedback to Supervisors and Managers on program effectiveness and engagement within the facility.

The role requires leading the safety orientation, conducting inspections, maintaining records, and coordinating with plant leadership on progress and improvements.

• Experience developing and championing EHS programs; broad understanding of regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Champion EHS compliance program(s) that promote a safety-first culture throughout the facility.
• Conduct safety and regulatory site inspections and observations.
• Create, revise, and update safety material.
• Maintain all record keeping associated with compliance program(s).
• Communicate progress with plant leadership.
• Oversee the safety orientation program.
• Coach employees and give feedback regarding safety and compliance.
• Lead safety committee.
• Occasional travel required for additional training and/or best-practice sharing.
• Flexible schedule with all shifts weekly, and as needed.
• Help execute the site safety plan with attention to OSHA-compliance.
• Perform tasks assigned by leadership.
• Foster professionalism with all team members and external customers.
• Work safely and report unsafe conditions or activities.

Report all safety and/or environmental incidents to leadership immediately.

Department Specific/ Non-essential Functions

• Participate in peer-based teams, and work with groups to initiate and implement programs such as LOTO and Machine Guarding assessments.
• Lead or participate with the Safety Team to identify opportunities and areas for improvement.
• Lead or participate on project teams and kaizen events when needed.
• Attend and participate in all training opportunities required to develop in the role
