Job summary

Forgent Power Solutions, Inc. is seeking an on-site Departmental Team Lead in Waco, TX to assist the EHS Manager in overseeing EHS functions across multiple departments.

The role requires daily on-site presence, strict adherence to EHS procedures, and leadership to promote 5S and quality standards. The candidate will train operators, manage records with the EHS Manager, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to meet safety and production goals.

Responsibilities

  • Daily on-site attendance.
  • Ensure that team members follow defined EHS procedures and comply with quality & safety requirements.
  • Ensure full adherence to 5S practices at all times.
  • Promote high standards through personal example so that each team member understands expected standards and behaviors.
  • Work with the EHS Manager to ensure all records are completed appropriately.
  • Identify and properly handle non-conformance issues, keeping the EHS Manager informed.
  • Report any quality or safety concerns to the EHS Manager so they can be communicated to the entire business.
  • Assist the EHS Manager in ensuring the team is aware of day-to-day targets and responsibilities.
  • Train operators on products and processes within the department.
  • Collaborate with the EHS Manager on daily management and support the team to meet operational goals.
  • Monitor task completion and ensure good performance within NetSuite.
  • Facilitate communication with other departments to maintain effective collaboration.
  • Provide feedback to management to share ideas and improve operations, recommending and implementing continuous improvement activities to optimize results and improve quality delivery.

Job description

Departmental Team Lead is responsible for assisting the EHS Manager in overseeing the operation of all EHS functions within any Waco Facility, involving departments such as Welding, Buffing, Core & Coil Assembly, Winding, Lacing, Tanking, Testing, Paint – Primer, Paint – Final, and Final Finish.

Location: Waco, TX (On-site)

Classification: Non-Exempt

Reports to: EHS Manager

Environment / Physical Requirements

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position with Monday through Friday hours. Shift variations occur based on department needs. Employees may be required to work occasional longer days and weekends to meet operational demands.
