Job summary

Fortive's Irvine, CA facility seeks an EHS Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and sustainment of EHS&S programs across North America.

The role partners with manufacturing, QA, R&D and field teams to drive compliance, training, auditing, incident response, and business continuity planning.

Requires a Bachelor's in a related field and at least 2 years in EHS&S within medical device manufacturing or similar, with strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in EHS&S in a medical device manufacturing or related environment.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to interact with employees at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Champion the development, implementation, improvement, and sustainment of EHS&S programs.
• Design and conduct EHS&S Training with a focus on best practices.
• EHS&S record keeping and reporting.
• Auditing of EHS&S compliance and management systems.
• Lead Job Hazard Assessments and support emergency response and first aid programs.
• Lead cross-functional project teams to drive safety and sustainability improvements.
• Travel 10-20% domestically.
