Job summary

Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) is seeking a Fall 2026 Student Assistant in the Environmental Health and Safety Department (EHS) to support campus safety initiatives and ensure compliance with safety protocols.

The position requires pursuing a Bachelor's degree, enrollment for at least 6 credit hours, a 2.0+ cumulative GPA, and is 10–20 hours per week; US citizenship is required due to government contracts.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree
• Must be registered for at least 6 credit hours with your university
• 2.0 or higher cumulative GPA

Responsibilities

• Assist with document creation, program development, and memo formatting
• Support safety inspections, including fleet safety and powered industrial truck inspections
• Help coordinate and deliver EHS training sessions for staff and students
• Schedule training sessions and maintain safety documentation
• Develop and distribute communication materials, including evacuation maps and fire safety guidelines
• Review training materials and documentation
• Create notifications for new processes and procedures
