Job summary

A leader in lithium-ion battery technology is seeking a Specialist II in Safety and Health in Queen Creek, Arizona. The position involves supporting and enhancing EHS programs, identifying workplace hazards, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Ideal candidates have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Professional certifications are preferred. The role emphasizes teamwork, initiative, and a commitment to safety in the workplace.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience supporting and improving EHS programs within a manufacturing environment.
• Professional certifications such as ASP, CSP, CIH, or CHMM preferred.
• Knowledge of NFPA and IFC standards, as well as applicable building and fire code requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support and drive ISO certification efforts and continuous improvement of EHS programs.
• Identify and mitigate workplace hazards across plant operations.
• Conduct daily audits, inspections, and spot checks to ensure compliance with EHS policies.

Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations

Knowledge of advanced manufacturing processes

Ability to analyze and evaluate technical data

Strong organizational and time management skills

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related field
