Loureiro Engineering Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced EHS Specialist to support a diverse portfolio of environmental, health, and safety projects in the Connecticut area.

The role combines fieldwork, technical data evaluation, and client service, with opportunities for mentorship and growth within a 100% employee-owned firm. The position emphasizes on-site and remote compliance tasks, field sampling, and training development, with a strong focus on safety and regulatory adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ability to perform technical calculations and document results.
• Ability to interpret field observations and data against regulatory or industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide general EHS compliance support at client sites and remotely, including audits, inspections, and documentation of conditions.
• Lead or participate in field sampling and assessment activities (stormwater, noise, air sampling, indoor air quality, mold, hazardous materials).
• Support safety assessments including hazard communication, lockout/tagout, machine guarding, confined spaces, fall protection, and job safety analysis.
• Develop work plans, coordinate with field staff, and review field documents and data.
