Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Gardena, CA is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Specialist to safeguard employees and visitors. You will develop safety plans, train staff, investigate incidents, and ensure OSHA compliance across facilities.

This role requires 4–8 years of EH&S experience, strong knowledge of OSHA/NFPA/IBC, ISO 14064-1, and the ability to obtain a security clearance. A Bachelor’s degree is required; graduate degrees or 8+ years can substitute.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of relevant EH&S experience; graduate degree with 2+ years, or 8+ years in lieu of a degree.
4–8 years’ experience with Microsoft Office and related software.
In-depth knowledge of OSHA standards, NFPA, IBC and EH&S regulations.
Understanding of ISO 14064-1 and GHG emissions management.
Ability to obtain U.S. Citizenship for security clearance.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement safety plans, procedures, and policies per OSHA standards.
Inspect facility and equipment to ensure compliance.
Investigate accidents and hazards and recommend corrective actions; conduct safety training.
Monitor safety equipment usage and personal protective equipment.
Stay informed of changes in safety regulations and legislation.
Maintain and update safety documents and records.
Respond to safety and health inquiries and complaints.
