Job summary

Cytiva in Logan, Utah, is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety professional to strengthen our safety culture. You will partner with production, engineering, and quality teams to integrate EHS into daily operations and lead risk assessments.

The role focuses on incident investigations, corrective actions, training, and compliance with OSHA, EPA, and TSCA; active participation in continuous improvement and safety culture across the site.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety or related field.
  • 3+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing/regulated operations.
  • Experience with OSHA, EPA, RCRA, DOT, TSCA compliance.
  • Strong communication and project management skills; ability to engage across levels.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with production, engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to integrate EHS requirements into daily operations.
  • Lead risk assessments, safety observations, incident investigations, and corrective actions using DBS problem-solving tools to identify hazards, reduce risk, and strengthen a proactive safety culture.
  • Own assigned EHS management system elements and environmental, health, and safety programs, ensuring compliance with Cytiva policies, regulatory requirements, permits, and reporting obligations.
  • Facilitate EHS training, coaching, and associate engagement activities while supporting leaders and teams in the development of safe work practices and compliance excellence.
  • Monitor EHS performance metrics and trends, lead improvement projects, participate in Gemba and Kaizen activities, and support execution of the Logan site EHS strategy through sustainable operational and compliance improvements.

What you will do

Partner with production, engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to integrate EHS requirements into daily operations, continuous improvement activities, and site business objectives.

Lead risk assessments, safety observations, incident investigations, and corrective actions using DBS problem‑solving tools to identify hazards, reduce risk, and strengthen a proactive safety culture.

Own assigned EHS management system elements and environmental, health, and safety programs, ensuring compliance with Cytiva policies, regulatory requirements, permits, and reporting obligations.

Facilitate EHS training, coaching, and associate engagement activities while supporting leaders and teams in the development of safe work practices and compliance excellence.

Monitor EHS performance metrics and trends, lead improvement projects, participate in Gemba and Kaizen activities, and support execution of the Logan site EHS strategy through sustainable operational and compliance improvements.

Who you are

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or a related technical field; equivalent education and experience will be considered.

3+ years of EHS experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, or other regulated operations, with a working knowledge of applicable OSHA, EPA, RCRA, DOT, TSCA, and related regulatory requirements.

Demonstrated experience conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action management to drive risk reduction and continuous improvement.

Strong communication, project management, and organizational skills, with the ability to influence and engage associates and leaders at all levels while managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, CHMM, are preferred.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements

If applicable for role Strength and/or stamina, lifting, moving, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, and carrying of materials and equipment weighing up to 35 lbs. Bend, lift, sit and/or stand for extended periods of time, Ability to wear steel‑toed or composite footwear, safety glasses and cleanroom gowning.
