Reporting directly to the EHS&S Site Manager, this individual contributor will play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and continuously improving fit-for-purpose EHS&S compliance programs and risk reduction strategies.
You are a pragmatic, hands-on safety professional who thrives in a dynamic manufacturing environment. You excel at collaborating directly with cross-functional shop-floor teams("Silazens") to establish clear safeguards, work instructions, and standards that prevent high-consequence safety and environmental events. You advocate for simplifying safety processes—making it effortless for colleagues to work safely and difficult to do work unsafely. You bring a strong continuous improvement mindset, high adaptability, and a deep commitment to protecting our workforce, environment, and surrounding community.
Job postings are based at a Process Safety Management (PSM) covered manufacturing facility where highly hazardous chemicals (substances possessing toxic, reactive, flammable or explosive properties in threshold quantities) are used in industrial processes. The starting base pay for this role is between $85,000 and $108,000 at the time of posting. The actual base pay depends on many factors, such as education, experience, and skills. Base pay is only one part of Sila’s competitive Total Rewards package that can include benefits, perks, and equity. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
