Sila, a battery materials company in Alameda, CA, is looking for a Corporate EHS&S Program Manager. This leader will drive the strategic direction of Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability programs while working cross-functionally. The role involves architecting EHS&S systems and fostering a culture of safety.
Applicants should have over 10 years of experience in EHS&S, particularly in heavy tech or advanced manufacturing. The position is onsite 5 days a week, with a salary range of $159,000 to $201,000.
We are Sila, a next‑generation battery materials company. Our mission is to power the world’s transition to clean energy. To create this future, our team is building a better lithium‑ion battery from the inside out today. We engineer and manufacture ground‑breaking battery materials that significantly increase the energy density of batteries, while reducing their size and weight. The result? Smaller, more powerful batteries that can unlock innovation in consumer devices and accelerate the mass adoption of electric cars to eliminate our dependence on fossil fuels. We’re tackling one of the biggest challenges of our time every day, and together we’re redefining what’s possible. Are you ready to be a part of a team committed to changing the world?
The Corporate EHS&S Program Manager is a high‑level leader responsible for working cross‑functionally to steward the strategic direction, implementation, and health of Sila’s company‑wide Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability programs. Operating at the corporate level, this role does not manage day‑to‑day site operations; instead, you will architect the overarching EHS&S Management Systems, governance models, and compliance frameworks that enable Sila to safely develop and scale its technology across R&D and high‑volume manufacturing.
As a master cross‑functional orchestrator and executive communicator, you will lead through influence, partnering with EHS&S site managers, R&D, engineering, and operations to embed a rigorous culture of safety, health, and environmental stewardship into our commercial execution.
Onsite in Alameda, CA 5 days per week with typical hours of 9am‑6pm. Approximate travel: 25% to Moses Lake, WA location.
The starting base pay for this role is between $159,000 and $201,000 at the time of posting. The actual base pay depends on many factors, such as education, experience, and skills. Base pay is only one part of Sila’s competitive Total Rewards package that can include benefits, perks, and equity. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
