The Sr. Specialist, EHS Manufacturing position is accountable for supporting all elements of the environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs within the assigned scope . Will act as the lead EHS technical expert and advocate for continuous improvement of EHS performance within the assigned scope to promote a safe, productive, sustainable, and environmentally sound work culture through the application of continuous improvement, best practices, and personal accountability. The jobholder will work closely with Operations leadership to ensure continued adoption of the EHS culture of excellence and effective execution of the EHS strategy within manufacturing and ancillary operations such as laboratories, administrative offices, and sales offices.
The position will provide professional knowledge and technical expertise around regulatory compliance, policy and program development and training within their assigned scope. Specific emphasis will be placed on 1) developing and driving programs that continuously improve employee safety performance in the regions to world-class standards; and, 2) and developing and implementing regional and local EHS management systems and maintenance of applicable certifications of such systems (e.g., ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001 etc.) within the assigned area of responsibility. This position will implement EHS plans and timelines appropriate for their area of responsibility. Depending on the scope, this position may also provide EHS support for Fluidcare sites if necessary and may also engage with the local QA personnel as a part of the ISO certification processes.
