Job summary

Long Wave Inc. Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager role leads safety programs and ensures compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and DoD requirements. The position collaborates with operations to maintain a safe, compliant workplace in Oklahoma City.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s (or Master’s) in EHS and 5–7 years of relevant experience, with leadership experience and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance. On-site work and travel to client sites are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years EHS experience in manufacturing/defense preferred.
• 2-3 years leadership or supervisory experience.
• Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance with potential Special Program Access.
• DoD, Military or Aerospace facilities experience preferred.
• Certifications such as CSP/CIH/OHST preferred; HazMat handling cert a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and manage EHS programs to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Conduct safety audits and inspections; identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Lead risk assessments, safety training programs and emergency procedures.
• Oversee corrective actions after incidents and track progress.
• Manage hazardous material handling, storage and disposal per regs.
• Provide regular safety training, onboarding and refresher sessions.
• Serve as primary contact for regulatory agencies on EHS matters.
