Job summary

Shaw Industries is seeking an experienced EHS Manager to lead safety programs across our manufacturing sites, partnering with plant leadership to reduce risk and drive environmental compliance while building a people-first safety culture.

You will lead incident investigations, training, and use metrics to improve performance, with high-visibility collaboration across operations and opportunities to influence culture and business results.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health, or related field.
  • Experience leading Environmental, Health & Safety programs.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations.
  • Experience with incident investigations, audits, compliance programs, and corrective action planning.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all site Environmental, Health & Safety programs to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company standards.
  • Foster a proactive safety culture through visible leadership, associate engagement, coaching, and accountability.
  • Partner with plant leadership to identify risks, implement solutions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning to prevent future occurrences.
  • Manage environmental compliance activities, audits, inspections, permits, and regulatory reporting.
  • Develop and deliver impactful training programs that build safety awareness and strengthen safe work practices.
  • Leverage EHS metrics and analytics to identify trends, assess risk, and improve operational performance.
  • Serve as the site's trusted advisor and subject matter expert on safety, environmental compliance, and risk management.
  • Champion a culture where safety is embedded in every decision and every associate feels empowered to contribute.

We're looking for an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to help shape the future of safety and environmental excellence within our manufacturing operations.

In this role, you'll partner closely with plant leadership to strengthen our people-first safety culture, reduce risk, drive compliance, and create an environment where associates can thrive. You'll be a visible leader on the manufacturing floor, using data, coaching, and continuous improvement principles to improve performance while ensuring environmental and safety excellence.

This role has high visibility with plant leadership and offers the opportunity to influence culture, develop associates, and drive meaningful business impact across the operation. This is an exciting opportunity for an EHS professional who enjoys influencing others, developing people, and making a meaningful impact on both employee well-being and business results.

What You'll Do

As the EHS Manager, you will:

Qualifications

  • Experience with incident investigations, audits, compliance programs, and corrective action planning.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and leadership skills.
Preferred
  • Manufacturing EHS leadership experience.
  • Experience driving safety culture transformation initiatives.
  • Experience leading continuous improvement efforts.
  • Bilingual Spanish skills.
