Samsung Biologics in Maryland is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to partner with site leadership and drive a culture of safety and compliance across manufacturing and laboratory operations.
You will lead risk assessments, regulatory interactions, training, audits, and incident investigations, while supporting capital projects and contractor safety programs. A BS in EHS and 4+ years in pharma/regulatory settings are required.
The EHS Manager position serves as a strategic partner to site leadership, driving a strong culture of safety, environmental stewardship, compliance, and continuous improvement across manufacturing and laboratory operations.
The EHS Manager is responsible for driving site EHS programs and proactively escalating risks to site leadership. This individual will serve as a key contact for regulatory agencies, including OSHA, EPA, and DOT, while ensuring compliance with all applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Education Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, Environmental Science, Life Sciences, or a related scientific discipline required.
Experience Minimum of 4 years of experience developing, implementing, and managing EHS programs, preferably within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, or regulated manufacturing environments.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, NIOSH, ANSI, NFPA, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
Experience supporting manufacturing and laboratory operations.
Knowledge of EHS management systems, risk assessment methodologies, incident investigation processes, and regulatory compliance programs.
Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related business applications.
Preferred Qualifications Bachelors or Master's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Safety Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.

The anticipated salary range for this position in Maryland is $93,225 to $124,300 plus annual bonus, when eligible. The final salary offered to a successful candidate may vary, and will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to: the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, skillset, education, business needs, etc.
