Job summary

DRiV Incorporated is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager at our Tennessee site. You will coordinate safety and environmental policies, ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and lead audits including EPA and OSHA reviews.

You will develop and administer the Environmental Management System (ISO 14001) and drive safety initiatives across facilities, collaborating with leadership to forecast operating and capital expenses for EHS programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in EHS required or equivalent experience.
• 4–5 years' experience in Environmental, Safety and Health field.
• Experience in a distribution center environment or 5 years EHS management system experience.
• Strong analytical ability, independent work, interpersonal and presentation skills, ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate facility EHS activities and safety programs to ensure compliance with DRiV, and local, state, and federal regulations.
• Lead and support ISO management reviews/activities and facility audits (EPA, TN OSHA, etc.).
• Oversee safety and environmental policy development, training, and implementation.
• Manage capital projects to meet safety and corporate goals while ensuring compliance and budget control.
• Maintain EHS information systems and coordinate with vendors and contractors.

DRiV is the aftermarket business group of Tenneco - DRiV website.

We are looking for an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager. The EHS Manager is responsible for coordinating facility activities relating to the Environmental Health & Safety and Security. This position is responsible for development and administration of plant safety and environmental policies to ensure compliance with DRiV, local, state, and federal regulations. This position is also responsible the Environmental Management System to assure compliance with the requirements of ISO 14001 and other management systems as appropriate. The EHS Manager will work with supervisors and leadership to create, maintain and improve safety systems, programs and training in the facility. The EHS Manager is responsible for forecasting and coordinating the operating and capital expenses related to this function.

Responsibilities:

• Abilty to perform all of the duties and responsibilities of the EH&S Lead and may be required to perform those duties due to business needs.
• Manage the development and administration of facility safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with DRIV, local, state, and federal regulations.
• Implement facility Management System and policies as well as support/ coordinate ISO Mgmt. Reviews/ Activities.
• Serve as facility lead for local, state, and federal audits (EPA, TN OSHA, and other applicable government bodies).
• Lead the machine safety program, in accordance with the Quality Standards for all legacy, modified and new machinery.
• Provide full support to the operations team to ensure leadership and management of the safety program.
• Expand opportunities for psychological and physical safety in the workplace. Key efforts include, but are not limited to: providing PPE, addressing individual concerns, providing general awareness in subjects such as injury avoidance, physical and mental health, and assisting in decision-making for routine and non-routine tasks.
• Lead the investigation of all fires, chemical spills, gas releases, injuries, near-misses and employee concerns.
• Manage the Industrial Hygiene Program, as applicable.
• Analyze risk assessments and make business decisions regarding safety.
• Oversee the Worker's Compensation program for the site
• Lead and assist in the development of capital projects to meet business strategies and corporate goals while ensuring safety and compliance. Lead teams to achieve project goals. Manage budget and all project details. Projects include but are not limited to infrastructure changes and new testing capabilities (safely advancing internal combustion engine and general transportation initiatives).
• Support facility contracts related to EHS (i.e., security), to include DRiV's contractor compliance program.
• Complete corporate second party audits and support local plants as needed. Take on a manager role as needed in the future.
• Manage all EHS information systems (EHS IS, TMSS, Pure Safety, EASE, ETQ Reliance, ENHESA, etc.)
• Review, update and take action related to the EHS Compliance Calendar
• Carry out additional responsibilities as necessary

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in EHS required. However, equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

Skills & Experience:

• A minimum of 4-5 years' experience in the Environmental, Safety and Health field dealing with environmental regulations and OSHA standards.
• Experience in a distribution center environment, or five (5) years' Environmental, Health and Safety Management System experience.
• Strong analytical ability, ability to work independently with minimum supervision, strong interpersonal and presentation skills, ability to manage multiple priorities, excellent computer skills.
