Job summary

Amicus Talent Solutions is seeking an HSE / EHS Safety Manager for data center construction on-site in Michigan City, IN or Mobile, AL. This role focuses on leading safety programs, site investigations, and compliance with OSHA standards across active projects.

Recent data center or mission critical construction experience is essential. Per diem may be available; this is a full-time site-based position with strong leadership responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Recent data center or mission critical construction experience is essential.
• Experience with General Contractor or Construction Manager preferred.
• Experience as an HSE Manager, EHS Manager, Safety Manager, Site Safety Manager or Construction Safety Manager.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA construction standards.
• Experience conducting audits, inspections and incident investigations.
• Ability to work full-time on site in either Michigan City, Indiana or Mobile, Alabama.

Responsibilities

• Lead Environmental, Health & Safety activities across active data center construction sites.
• Implement and enforce site safety plans, policies and procedures.
• Conduct daily site inspections, audits and safety observations.
• Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings and site orientations.
• Monitor subcontractor compliance with project safety requirements.
• Support Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and pre-task planning.
• Investigate incidents, near misses and safety concerns.
• Manage corrective actions and follow-up.
• Review high-risk work activities and permit-to-work requirements.
• Support OSHA compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain safety records, documentation and reporting.
• Track safety performance, trends and leading indicators.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents and project leadership.
• Promote a strong safety culture across field and project teams.
• Support emergency response planning and site-specific EHS initiatives.

HSE / EHS Safety Manager, Data Center Construction

Roles in Michigan City, IN & Mobile, AL | On-Site | General Contractor

We are working with General Contractors delivering major data center projects in Michigan City, Indiana and Mobile, Alabama and are recruiting for multiple HSE / EHS Safety positions across both locations.

These are full-time, site-based roles supporting large-scale mission critical construction projects.

Recent data center construction experience is essential. Candidates without recent data center or mission critical experience will not be considered.

Per diem is available on selected roles.

The Role

The HSE / EHS Safety Manager will work closely with project leadership, Superintendents, subcontractors and field teams to ensure work is carried out safely and in line with company, client and regulatory requirements.

What We’re Looking For

• Recent data center or mission critical construction experience is essential


• Previous experience working for a General Contractor or Construction Manager preferred


• Experience as an HSE Manager, EHS Manager, Safety Manager, Site Safety Manager or Construction Safety Manager


• Strong knowledge of OSHA construction standards


• Strong understanding of JHAs, JSAs, pre-task planning and permit-to-work processes


• Experience conducting audits, inspections and incident investigations


• Strong subcontractor and field safety management experience


• Excellent communication and leadership skills


• CHST, CSP, OSHA 30 or similar safety qualifications are highly desirable


• Ability to work full-time on site in either Michigan City, Indiana or Mobile, Alabama
