Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. seeks an Health, Safety and Environmental Specialist to oversee an efficient EHS management system at our facilities. The role drives compliance, continuous improvement, and integration of EHS objectives into standard work, while developing safety culture aligned with site goals.

You will lead incident investigations, audits, training planning, and stakeholder engagement with regulatory bodies, ensuring robust EHS performance.

Qualifications

• University degree in safety, environment, sciences, engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in vaccine manufacturing or related field.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Experience with GMP/GLP/ISO 9000 in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain existing EHS systems, processes and procedures.
• Drive compliance by completing assessments and implementing new regulatory standards.
• Be the point of contact for new projects to ensure EHS compliance.
• Manage EHS incident reporting and ensure corrective actions.
• Maintain Hazard ID system and risk registers.
• Conduct EHS inspections and audits.
• Coordinate EHS training requirements.
• Identify improvements to EHS systems.
