Job summary

Scotts Miracle-Gro is seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Intern for our Marysville, OH facility. The 12-week internship offers exposure to EHS leadership and projects across manufacturing operations.

You will assist with safety inspections, audits, JTHA development, LOTO, training materials, incident investigations, and environmental reporting while developing professional skills in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Be enrolled in an accredited college, university or trade school.
• Strong analytical and leadership skills.
• Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication.
• Prioritize collaboration and problem solving.
• Manage multiple tasks and is detail-oriented.
• Prior internship experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with health and safety identification and inspections.
• Contribute to safety compliance audits.
• Support Job Task Hazard Analyses, PPE analysis and SOPs.
• Assist with Lockout/Tagout program audits and training standardization.
• Help create and organize EHS training and documentation.
• Aid in incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Support environmental permit reporting obligations.
• Gather data for emission sources and inventory.
