Job summary

Commonwealth Fusion Systems seeks an Environmental Health & Safety Technician to support the Devens-campus EHS team, conduct field inspections, and drive day-to-day safety excellence. The role emphasizes hands-on enforcement, incident support, and program rollout across the Massachusetts campus.

Ideal candidates bring 6+ years of EHS leadership in industrial settings, knowledge of OSHA/EPA/DEC/RCRA, and a proven ability to operate in a high-volume environment while maintaining safety and

Qualifications

• Must have 6+ years implementing and overseeing environmental, health and safety programs.
• Previous experience in a construction/industrial environment.
• Ability to work in a high-volume, fast paced environment.
• Regulatory knowledge (OSHA, EPA, DEC, RCRA, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Perform frequent field process confirmations and inspections to verify safe work practices and conditions.
• Coordinate safety audits and inspections using standardized checklists.
• Assist with incident investigations including root cause analysis and corrective action tracking.
• Support environmental programs, waste labeling, storage, and spill response.
• Maintain or assist with site-specific safety programs and JHAs.
