Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking an EHS Emergency Services Technician to lead emergency response, coordinate mitigation, and maintain response equipment across safety initiatives. The role emphasizes safety programs and documentation across shifts in a high-stakes environment.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate degree in Emergency Services with 2+ years EMT experience, SAP/Enablon proficiency, and the ability to work 12-hour shifts. Certifications in SCBA/HAZMAT and rescue are anticipated.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Emergency Services or related field.
• 2+ years’ EMT experience or license.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts (3 on/4 off; 4 on/3 off) and rotate day/night shifts.
• Able to lift 25–40 pounds and stand up to 10 hours per shift.
• 2+ years’ experience with SAP, Enablon, or similar incident tracking systems.
• Certifications planned: SCBA, SKA, APR; HAZMAT, confined space/high angle rescue.

Responsibilities

• Lead emergency response as ERT Captain and direct personnel during incidents.
• Ensure compliance with PPE, LOTO, and chemical handling procedures.
• Conduct safety audits, hazard checks, and support safety improvements.
• Apply and review JHA/JSA; communicate shifts and coordinate with teams.
• Manage and maintain emergency tools and document incidents.
• Support safety projects with data analysis and preventive maintenance; maintain documentation.
• Meet physical requirements: stand long hours, walk, protect personnel and assets.
