Job Description

Oracle is seeking a senior EHS leader to build and own the architecture of Oracle's global Environmental, Health & Safety management system, spanning our corporate real estate portfolio and one of the fastest-growing data center construction and operations programs in the world. This role is the central technical authority for the global EHS function: it owns the development of the globally harmonized EHS management system, the enterprise risk framework, global EHS standards, and the audit and assurance program that verifies performance across all regions and operating domains.

This is a global leadership role with enterprise-wide scope. The role sets the framework the regional EHS organizations execute against one common global management system, a single enterprise risk methodology, harmonized standards for the highest-hazard activities, and a structured assurance program that measures how well the system is working in the field. The role carries significant cross-regional authority and visibility, working directly with regional EHS directors, OCI Data Center Operations, Data Center Facilities Development, Real Estate & Facilities Management, and senior business leadership, and representing the global EHS function in executive governance forums.

Reports to the Vice President, Global EHS. The role directs central standards and assurance resources, is supported by the EHS program management office, and collaborates with cross-functional teams including Design & Construction/Project Delivery, Facilities Operations, Legal, Internal Audit, Procurement, HR, and Oracle's integrated facilities management partner.

This role is based in the United States at a major Oracle hub. Expected global travel 30–50%.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

Global EHS management system and standards

Lead the development, deployment, and continuous improvement of Oracle's globally harmonized EHS management system, aligned to ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 and structured for certification readiness.

Author and own the enterprise EHS standards library, including critical risk standards for the highest-hazard activities (electrical safety, energy isolation, work at height, lifting operations, confined space, excavation, and simultaneous operations) and cross-cutting standards for contractor management, management of change, and emergency preparedness.

Own the global standards governance process: development, technical review, approval, revision control, and regional adoption, ensuring one source of truth per requirement across the enterprise.

Own the global framework for regulatory intelligence and legal registers, ensuring applicable EHS legal and other requirements are identified, tracked, and integrated into enterprise standards and regional compliance programs.

Own the global EHS training and competency framework, defining role-based competency requirements and training standards delivered through the regional organizations.

Own the enterprise hazard assessment and risk register methodology across all operating domains, from enterprise-level risk through regional overlays to project and site-level application.

Drive serious injury and fatality (SIF) prevention architecture, including SIF and potential-SIF classification, critical control identification, and layered-safeguard design principles.

Audit and assurance

Design, own, and continuously improve the global EHS audit and assurance program: audit instruments, depth tiering, auditor competency requirements, scheduling across regions and site types, and finding and corrective action governance.

Lead assurance activities across data center construction, data center operations, and corporate facilities, verifying conformance to Oracle standards and the effectiveness of critical risk controls in the field.

Coordinate with internal audit and external certification bodies, and support regulatory and certification audit readiness across the enterprise.

Incident learning and investigation quality

Own the global incident management standard: classification, notification, investigation methodology, root cause analysis quality, corrective action effectiveness, and enterprise-wide learning from significant events.

Lead or oversee investigations of the most significant incidents and high-potential events and drive the sharing of lessons across regions and operating domains.

Performance monitoring and reporting

Own the global EHS performance framework: leading and lagging indicators, program maturity measurement, and the data architecture behind executive and operational reporting.

Deliver the analytical foundation for executive leadership reporting, translating field data into clear enterprise risk and performance insight.

Shape the enterprise EHS technology roadmap, including platform capability requirements, data standards, and integration of EHS information systems across operating domains.

Governance and cross-regional leadership

Chair global EHS governance and standards forums, driving alignment and consistent execution across regional EHS organizations.

Represent the global EHS function with senior business, infrastructure, and real estate leadership, and act with enterprise-wide scope on behalf of the function in cross-regional and cross-domain matters.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

15+ years of progressive EHS leadership experience, including enterprise or global scope across multiple regions and regulatory environments.

Demonstrated experience building or leading enterprise EHS management systems at global scale, aligned to ISO 45001 / ISO 14001, including standards development and governance across dispersed organizations.

Significant field experience in hyperscale data centers/critical facilities, large-scale construction, or other high-hazard, complex operating environments (e.g., utilities/power generation, oil & gas, chemical, large-scale industrial operations); credibility with construction and operations leadership is essential.

Proven leadership of enterprise audit and assurance programs, including audit instrument design, auditor development, and finding governance; ISO lead auditor qualification preferred.

Deep expertise in incident investigation and root cause analysis methodology, including SIF prevention frameworks and critical control verification.

Strong command of EHS performance measurement and data-driven program management; experience shaping executive-level reporting preferred.

Executive-level communication and influence skills in English; able to drive alignment across regions, functions, and cultures through frameworks and governance rather than direct line authority.

Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree and/or relevant certifications preferred (e.g., CSP, CIH, CMIOSH, ISO lead auditor, or equivalent).
