Job summary

Valar Atomics is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator to develop, implement, and maintain workplace safety and environmental programs. You will work closely with management and staff to ensure regulatory compliance and a proactive safety culture.

Key duties include inspections, incident investigations, environmental stewardship, and documenting policies, permits, and records while supporting continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-growing energy company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 1+ years of experience in EHS, safety coordination, or a related role preferred.
• Strong communication and analytical skills; ability to work with front-line employees and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine workplace safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
• Identify unsafe conditions or behaviors and recommend corrective actions.
• Support incident, injury, and near-miss investigations; track corrective actions.
• Assist with environmental compliance activities (e.g., waste management, spill prevention, chemical storage).
• Collaborate with management on safety programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
