Job summary

Express Employment Professionals is seeking an EHS & Facilities Coordinator in Southwest Michigan on 1st shift. The role leads EHS programs and coordinates facility maintenance across multiple locations. Pay is up to $65,000/year and the environment is manufacturing-focused.

The ideal candidate will have a strong safety background, coordinate safety training, maintain PPE/SDS, and work with contractors to schedule repairs while ensuring OSHA compliance. This is not a Maintenance Manager position.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in EHS, occupational safety, facilities coordination, maintenance administration, manufacturing safety, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety programs.
  • Experience conducting safety inspections, training, or hazard assessments.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple maintenance requests, vendors, projects, and priorities.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Comfortable working with employees, maintenance personnel, management, and outside contractors.
  • OSHA 30 certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support company EHS programs, policies, and compliance efforts.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections and hazard assessments.
  • Assist with incident investigations and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate and conduct employee safety training.
  • Maintain PPE requirements, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and other safety documentation.
  • Support emergency preparedness and response procedures.
  • Help ensure compliance with OSHA and other applicable safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate safety records and documentation.
  • Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance for building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and compressed air.
  • Work closely with maintenance personnel, internal departments, vendors, and outside contractors to schedule and complete repairs.
  • Maintain preventive maintenance schedules, work orders, and facility records.
  • Coordinate vendors and contractors for maintenance and facility projects.
  • Assist with facility improvements, equipment installations, and building projects.
  • Track maintenance activities, vendor relationships, project needs, and facility-related expenses.
  • Help identify facility issues and ensure they are communicated and addressed in a timely manner.

Express Employment Professionals is recruiting an EHS & Facilities Coordinator for a manufacturing company in Southwest Michigan.

This position will take the lead on Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) programs and compliance while also providing coordination and administrative support for facility maintenance activities across multiple locations.

The ideal candidate has a strong safety background and is comfortable working in a manufacturing environment. This is not a Maintenance Manager position. Rather than personally managing or performing all maintenance work, this individual will help coordinate maintenance needs, contractors, schedules, work orders, and facility projects.

Key Responsibilities
Environmental Health & Safety
