Job summary

DPR Construction is seeking an EHS Business Unit Lead to drive the Environmental Health & Safety program at the BU level and ensure regional consistency. You will coach and direct a team of EHS professionals to implement the EHSP on Business Unit projects and engage with project teams and clients to embed safe work practices.

The role requires expert OSHA knowledge, strong leadership, and the ability to influence across multiple trades.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of OSHA and related construction regulations and how to apply them to commercial projects.
• OSHA 30 training completed within the last 5 years.
• OSHA 500 or 502 training and/or OSHA Authorized Trainer status.
• CPR/First Aid Certified (current).
• Experience with incident cost analysis and insurance claims management processes.
• Proficiency in scaffolding, hazardous energy, confined space, rigging and fall protection.

Responsibilities

• Identify potential hazards and develop plans to address and mitigate them.
• Conduct daily site visits across the BU and influence project teams and trade partners to practice safe work techniques.
• Create solutions to safety and environmental issues throughout the project lifecycle.
• Hold project teams accountable to instill a culture of safety across the BU.
• Review data and use indicators to determine actions to prevent or mitigate risk.
• Consult BU leaders with cost and risk data and recommend process improvements.
