Job summary
Infosys is seeking a Technology Consultant 3 in the United States (Houston, TX) to design, develop, and deploy complex EHS and environmental software solutions. You will work with SAP Environmental Compliance, Intelex, Sphera, and Hydrosphere, translating business needs into Jira stories and test scenarios.
You will coordinate with global teams in an Agile/Scrum environment, lead testing and deployments, and ensure regulatory reporting and data quality across enterprise systems.

- Create business requirement documents covering functional and non-functional requirements, basis information gathered as part of workshops and interviews with client stakeholders
- Craft high- and low-level software designs, validate through prototypes, and incorporate feedback to optimize functionality
- Develop critical and complex software applications and engage with the development team to establish coding standards and methodologies in sync with design and architectural specifications
- Create and guide the execution of comprehensive testing strategies, in conformance with functional and non-functional requirements
- Guide the technical implementation of system infrastructure, and introduction of new software applications, to ensure their efficient deployment and adherence to project schedules.
- Ensure consistent system rollouts by orchestrating transitions and minimizing operational disruptions
- Analyse incident trends to identify root causes, propose sustainable solutions to avert future incidents and establish monitoring protocols
- Provide specialized insights and build collaborative relationships with clients and internal teams, securing the successful execution of projects
- Establish and uphold comprehensive knowledge bases to guarantee that vital information is systematically recorded and readily available
- Contribute to the selection of technological tools by collaborating with architects and provide insights on prospective influence of new technologies
- Contribute to the development of technical implementation roadmaps, based on understanding of client business needs
- Contribute to proposals and RFPs by delivering insights related to development of software applications, for successfully delivering the proposed solutions

- Support integrations with field data collection systems, LIMS, PI Historian, and other enterprise applications.
- Work with business stakeholders to understand environmental and regulatory reporting requirements and resolve data or report discrepancies.
- Translate business requirements into technical inputs, Jira stories, defects, acceptance criteria and test scenarios.
- Coordinate user acceptance testing, application releases, rollout communication, and post-production validation.
- Collaborate with global technical and functional teams in an Agile/Scrum delivery environment.
- 15 – 20 years Mining Industry applications experience is required.
- Support and enhance enterprise environmental and EHS applications such as SAP Environmental Compliance, Intelex, Sphera and Hydrosphere.
- Troubleshoot production, reporting, integration and data-quality issues using SQL.
- Coordinate interfaces involving LIMS, PI Historian, field systems and external applications.
- Gather business and regulatory requirements and convert them into Jira stories, test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
- Support regulatory reporting, UAT, application releases and post-release validation.
- Work closely with business users, developers and global delivery teams to resolve issues and implement enhancements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.

Estimated annual compensation range for this role will be as follows:
In CA, WA, NY, CO, MD, IL, MN, NJ, VT, MA: $ 73000 to $ 102,200
In Washington, DC: $66,500 to $ 100,300
