Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a specialized HIM professional to maintain accurate EHRs and related databases across the network. You will investigate, analyze, and resolve issues to safeguard data integrity and ensure one MRN per patient across the system.

The role includes chart correction workflows, user support, and collaboration with AHN departments. You will process mail/faxes, monitor report distributions, and contribute to end-user education while adhering to HIPAA and privacy policies.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years experience in HIM or related
• 1-3 years experience with electronic health records
• 1-3 years experience with medical terminology and chart content
• Preferred Associate's degree

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve all assigned issues reported via E.HR work queues, user reported issues and patient reported issues in a timely manner.
• Assure the data and document quality and integrity of the E.HR by resolving identified problems; ensure one MRN across the network and associated databases.
• Researches, identifies and resolves documentation issues by performing chart correction/documentation processes to ensure integrity of E.HR and associated databases.
• Collaborates with AHN departments to report and resolve issues; ensure corrections and revisions align with AHN policies.
• Processes incoming and outgoing mail and faxes in a timely manner according to established procedures.
• Provides support and education to all E.HR end users.
• Monitors and resolves issues related to incoming or outgoing report distribution within the E.HR, ancillary and vendor databases.
• Produces accurate OR monitor.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
