Job summary

BJC HealthCare is seeking an EHR Application III Analyst certified in Epic Cadence, with additional Epic certifications in related modules considered. This is a remote role supporting Epic and other clinical applications across our regional facilities.

The candidate should have 5–10 years of analyst experience with Epic, and be prepared to engage with leadership and clinical users to optimize system usage and reliability. A strong understanding of security and usability is essential.

Qualifications

• Epic Cadence certification required; Epic certifications in RTE, Prelude, or Cupid considered.
• Experience as an EHR Analyst with Epic experience.
• Remote position with eligibility by state.

Responsibilities

• Plan, analyze, design, implement, test, debug, and maintain Epic and other clinical applications.
• Build collaborative relationships with hospital leadership and users to ensure system adoption.
• Handle complex build/configuration tasks and resolve advanced issues.
• Coordinate testing strategies, incident management, and security/usability requirements.
• May participate in after-hours on-call rotation.

Role Purpose

Under little direction, the EHR Application Analyst III is responsible for planning, analyzing, designing, implementing, testing, debugging, and maintaining Epic & other Clinical applications. Builds collaborative relationships with hospital leadership, clinical department users, technology and other corporate departments to facilitate usage and acceptance of the system. This individual will be assigned to more complex build and configuration tasks and resolve advanced issues which could include unknown or undefined requirements and business objectives. May be responsible for system integrity. Epic or applicable certifications will be required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Takes technical responsibility across all stages and iterations of configuration development and deployment.Plans and drives software configuration activities. Adopts and adapts appropriate software configuration methods, tools and techniques.Measures and monitors the application of standards for configuration design and deployment.
• Drives investigation and resolution of issues relating to applications. Maintains application support processes, and checks that all requests for support are dealt with according to agreed procedures. Uses application management software and tools to investigate issues, collect performance statistics and create reports.
• Provides authoritative advice and guidance on test planning and execution. Adopts and adapts appropriate testing methods, automated tools and techniques to solve problems in tools and testing approaches.
• Manages user experience evaluation of systems, products, services or devices.Assures that the security, usability and accessibility requirements have been met and that required practices have been followed.
• Develops, maintains and tests incident management procedures in agreement with service owners.Investigates escalated, non-routine and high-impact incidents to responsible service owners and seeks resolution.Facilitates recovery, following resolution of incidents. Ensures that resolved incidents are properly documented and closed.
• May be part of an after-hours on-call rotation.
