Job summary

US WorldMeds – Philadelphia Navy Yard is seeking a Manager, EH&S to lead the environmental health and safety program at the site. You will prevent injuries, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote a culture of safety across manufacturing operations.

Requires a bachelor’s degree, 5–10 years in EHS program management, CSP/CIH/CHMM or equivalent, and ISO 14001/OHSAS 18001 experience. The role involves risk assessment, investigations, training, and leading cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety or environmental science.
• 5–10 years of EHS program management experience.
• Working knowledge of EPA and OSHA regulations.
• CSP/CIH/CHMM certification or equivalent.
• Experience with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.
• Strong interpersonal, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
• Ability to influence all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, manages, and administers EHS management system and programs at the Philadelphia site.
• Identifies hazards and environmental aspects; manages risks and environmental impacts.
• Maintains EHS regulatory compliance activities, including reports to regulatory agencies.
• Conducts inspections and audits.
• Performs evaluations of processes and equipment for compliance.
• Supports workers’ compensation claims and return-to-work program.
• Leads and participates in teams and committees.
• Conducts IH surveys, JHA, and PPE assessments.
• Conducts ergonomic evaluations.
• Packages and ships hazardous waste.
• Provides guidance on regulatory compliance.
• Develops and manages projects and training programs.
• Leads or participates in internal committees for EHS input.
