Job summary

Associated Electric Cooperative, Inc. is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety Intern for a three-month summer program at the New Madrid Power Plant in Missouri. You'll learn from experienced EH&S professionals and contribute to environmental compliance and safety initiatives.

You'll gain hands-on experience in monitoring, reporting, audits, and training, working in a real power-generation environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in college pursuing a degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Safety, or a related field.
• Interest in environmental compliance and workplace safety within power generation.
• Available for a three-month summer internship.

Responsibilities

• Assist EH&S professionals with environmental compliance projects.
• Support environmental monitoring, data collection, and compliance activities (air, water, waste).
• Assist with workplace safety inspections, audits, and training.
