Job summary

Minerals Technologies Inc. (MTI) offers an Environmental Health & Safety Intern role focused on supporting safety initiatives in a manufacturing setting. You will gain hands-on experience with workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement under site leadership.

You will assist with inspections, incident investigations, training, and data analysis, contributing to a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace while building practical EH&S skills for your career.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, occupational safety, industrial hygiene, environmental health & safety, or a related field.
• Knowledge of EH&S data collection, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support environmental, health, and safety initiatives within a manufacturing environment.
• Assist with safety inspections and workplace audits.
• Support incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Maintain EH&S records and documentation.
• Conduct safety observations and assessments.
• Assist with employee safety training initiatives.
• Support environmental compliance activities.
• Analyze safety performance metrics and trends.
• Participate in safety awareness campaigns and initiatives.
