Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. in Waco, TX is seeking an Environment Health and Safety Intern to support the development and maintenance of an EHS Management System and to help ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety requirements.

The role involves assisting with audits, reporting, and integration of new processes while gaining hands-on experience in air permits, wastewater, and waste management.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s in Environmental Science, Health & Safety, Engineering, or related fields.
• Experience with environmental reporting (Tier II, TRI/Form R) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in development, implementation and maintenance of an EHS Management System.
• Develops programs for prevention and control of environmental risks; ensures compliance with permits and reporting.
• Conducts site-wide EHS audits; analyzes results and communicates corrective actions.
• Ensures all EHS incidents are promptly reported.
• Reviews projects to ensure compliance with environmental rules and permits.
• Supports air permit compliance program, records collection, and training.
• Participates in wastewater operations and reporting to agencies.
