Job summary

NES, Inc. is seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) Specialist for full-time work in the Central California region, including Folsom.

The role focuses on hands-on EH&S consulting, audits, and training at client sites with a strong emphasis on regulatory compliance and client engagement. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in a core science, solid OSHA knowledge, and experience in environmental health and safety programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a core science or closely related field (e.g., chemistry, biology).
• Must have EH&S experience in a work setting, preferably as a consultant.
• Proficient in OSHA and environmental regulations; able to build client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Develop a compliance assessment plan and conduct facility site assessments for environmental, health, and safety compliance.
• Develop assessment findings report with recommended corrective actions.
• Assist clients to meet and exceed environmental and safety compliance objectives.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients and regulatory agencies.
• Document findings and observations in forms, field notes, and chain of custody documents.
