Job summary

Perdue Farms is hiring an Egg Truck Driver to join our logistics team. You will follow a routine route to pick up eggs from breeder farms and transport them safely to the warehouse or hatchery, ensuring on-time deliveries and accurate logs.

Required are a High School diploma or equivalent, a Class B CDL, and at least two years of commercial driving; reading, writing and math skills are essential, with Class A preferred.

• Ensures accurate recordkeeping of fuel purchases, trip tickets, daily logs and time sheets.

Summary

Join our team as an Egg Truck Driver and play a vital role in delivering quality from farm to facility. In this role, you will follow a routine route to pick up racks and boxes of eggs from designated breeder farms, replenish essential supplies, and safely transport eggs to the warehouse or hatchery. You’ll be a trusted partner to our farm teams, helping ensure smooth operations, reliable delivery schedules, and the care and integrity of every load along the way.

Minimum Education and Experience

• High School or equivalent.
• Class B Commercial driver's license.
• 2+ years commercial driving.
• Reading, writing and math skills.

Preferred Education and Experience

• Class A driver's license is preferred.

Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors

• Exposed to both seasonal weather and climate-controlled conditions and various chemicals and disinfectants to be covered in MSDS Training.
• Must be able to push and pull up to 1200 lbs a distance of 90 feet.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs with a significant amount of bending, twisting and stepping.
• Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the company.
