Job summary

ShopRite of Hillsborough in Hillsborough, NJ is seeking a Receiver to ensure accurate receiving of deliveries and maintain a neat warehouse while delivering a great customer experience.

Responsibilities include verifying invoices, greeting customers, promoting promotions, following safety procedures, and keeping work areas clean. This role requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work varied schedules.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English.
• Able to perform basic math.
• Able to stand/walk for the duration of a shift.
• Able to lift 25 lbs. regularly and 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Able to work with fresh, dried and/or processed products.
• Able to tolerate dust and cleaning agents.
• Able to work in varying temperatures.
• Able to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Able to work cooperatively with others.
• Able to follow all time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor grocery storage area for cleanliness and readiness for the next shift.
• Handle damaged or returned items per policy, prioritizing refrigerated items.
• Verify invoices for cost, retail and quantity.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Promote current charitable promotions to customers.
• Observe safety regulations when operating equipment.
• Rotate stock and follow carton opening procedures.
• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment.
• Clean and sanitize surfaces and equipment per QA standards.
• Check prices and know item locations.
• Adhere to shrink guidelines and company policies.
